«Language is much more than just Vocabulary and Grammar.»

Portrait Agatha Misarko

Agata is a real all-rounder. Her journey has taken her from art history to the world of language and culture to her current job in Human Rescourses at IGP Powder Coatings. Even though she enthusiastically pursued art history during her studies and even secured a place at a Berlin art academy, she decided to cede this place to a competitor. Even then, it was the practical work that fulfilled them.During her studies, Agata gained valuable experience in various fields. She worked in an educational department of a museum, where she developed concepts for knowledge transfer, and also worked in galleries to plan exhibitions and sell works of art.

But Agata's career took a new turn when she took over the management of a language school in 2013, which she built from the ground up. Her work as an entrepreneur laid the foundation for her current position at IGP. In 2018, she was contacted by IGP Poland to translate for the HR department – a task that immediately captivated her. She continued her education in this area and eventually received an offer to join IGP's HR team.

Although she has switched from her passion for art to HR, Agata remains true to her love of art. In her free time, she regularly visits museums and exhibitions and is particularly enthusiastic about street art, graffiti and contemporary architecture. When traveling, she is always on the lookout for posters of art exhibitions, which she collects at home like trophies.

For Agata, working with people is the key to her satisfaction. Her curiosity, openness and creativity contribute to her being successful in her profession. She is convinced that in every professional field it is important to get involved with people. Communication is the focus for her – and in her opinion, this can only be mastered through an authentic engagement with language and culture. If she could choose one language she would like to perfect, it would be Italian. And for all those who want to learn a new language, Agata has a clear tip: "Live the language! Because language is like a mirror of a country's way of thinking and way of life. If you get involved, you will learn the language all by yourself."
