Epoxy resin primer for the best possible corrosion protection on aluminum, steel and – in V version – also on die-casting, galvanized steel and other outgassing substrates.
For use on die-casting, galvanized steel or other outgassing substrates, the 1001 V is recommended. The IGP-KORROPRIMER 1001 is the modern classic based on epoxy resins. With its pronounced wetting properties, it ensures excellent adhesion to the substrate and, thanks to its barrier effect, the highest possible corrosion protection.

TObject t min t max 170 °C 25 minutes 30 minutes 180 °C 20 minutes 25 minutes 190 °C 10 minutes 15 minutes When curing thick steel components we recommend to gel the primer and fully cure the part with the top coat.
To avoid intercoat adhesion problems the maximum air temperature should be limited to 210°C.
When curing in directly heated gas ovens, a sample should be done in advance to ensure the intercoat adhesion with the following top coat.
