Project details

The laboratory becomes a «technical center»

With the addition of another floor to the main building, Dold AG has integrated a state-of-the-art paint booth, which forms the new centerpiece of the third floor. In this specially developed facility, large-area sample panels for customer projects can be coated dust-free, which significantly increases application and research capacity. During the planning stage, particular emphasis was placed on sustainability. The paint booth is powered entirely by electricity from the photovoltaic system on the roof. Dold AG has deliberately opted against a gas-powered solution.

The new floor covers around 735 square meters. The façade features expanded metal with vertical pilaster strips, manufactured by façade builder Diethelm Fassadenbau AG. IGP Pulvertechnik AG supplied a total of around 2,200 kg of powder coating for the façade and window frames. Around 800 kg was used for the item
IGP-HWFsuperior 571TE71386R30, processed by the coating company Jürg Hofstetter AG. A further 1,400 kg were used on the remaining components in the color IGP-HWFsuperior 571TE90060R30.

Dold AG is reaching an important milestone with the expansion of its production and research facilities. This is in response to growing demands in the areas of construction, corrosion and fire protection, and industry. The new infrastructure will enable the company to further deepen its expertise in coating technology and remain innovative.
