IGP-HWFsmart 59 for economical and sustainable coating
IGP Powder Coatings is expanding its range of low-temperature powder coatings for façades with the launch of IGP-HWFsmart 59. The new series replaces IGP-HWFclassic 59 and enables energy savings or increased productivity. The IGP-ANALYZEit Energy calculator shows how much can be saved during the curing process. The IGP-HWFsmart 59 Biosource variant is available for sustainable construction projects.
Less energy, more possibilities with proven quality
IGP-HWFsmart 59 takes the low-temperature strategy to the next level. The powder coating series cures in just 15 minutes at an object temperature as low as 160°C. This allows coating companies to save energy or increase productivity while maintaining the same oven temperature. Weather resistance, color, gloss, and scratch resistance continue to meet the same high standards customers have come to expect. The wide selection of RAL and NCS colors also remains available. The series meets the requirements of QUALICOAT Class 2, GSB Florida 3, and AAMA 2604. IGP supports coating companies in the process of transitioning to the new series and in optimizing their processes through technical consulting, training, and quality assurance and laboratory services.

The IGP-BIOSOURCE variant
IGP-HWFsmart 59 Biosource is an ideal choice for projects with specific sustainability requirements. This powder coating incorporates renewable raw materials using the mass-balance approach, reducing the use of fossil-based carbon. This supports green building concepts and building certifications. ISCC PLUS certification, obtained in 2026, ensures transparent allocation of the renewable raw materials.
