VIVAWEST Administration Building

The VIVAWEST Administration Building acts as a link between the new structure and the site’s historic buildings, creating a transparent level of communication. It functionally unites the Nordstern Campus and completes its transition from a decommissioned coal mine to a contemporary service location.

Project details

The VIVAWEST administrative building is situated on the grounds of the former Nordstern coal mine. Its red façade perfectly complements the red brickwork of the listed old building. A glazed passage connects the old and the new, establishing a cross-building communication level. The expressive red color is also incorporated in the light-filled interior, ensuring a coordinated overall appearance.
