Interview Beatriz Pinto
Why did you choose the apprenticeship as a Digital Business Developer?
We're all familiar with typical apprenticeships like retail sales, business administration, or IT. However, none of these fields quite matched my expectations. By chance, I came across the Digital Business Developer apprenticeship on the Yousty platform. After some research, it quickly became clear to me: This is exactly what I'm looking for – the interface between business administration and IT.
What skills or interests do you think someone should have if they want to learn Digital Business Developer?
In my opinion, an interest in IT and digital topics is particularly important. Furthermore, one should enjoy problem-solving and analytical thinking. I also see communication skills as crucial, since you often act as a liaison between different departments and work with a variety of people. Additionally, you should be open to new things, because the digital world is constantly evolving, and you're always learning.
What are you most looking forward to about your apprenticeship at IGP?
I'm particularly looking forward to working in a team, learning from experienced colleagues, and developing both professionally and personally. I also find the opportunity to explore different departments and see how digital solutions are used within the company exciting. I'm also excited to collaborate with my fellow trainees on projects and gain valuable experience.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I tend to be more of a «nerd». I enjoy playing PC games, I'm a big Lego fan, and I've gotten back into reading more books. I also love spending time with family and friends. Since not everyone lives in Switzerland, traveling is another hobby of mine. Music is also an important companion for me, whether I'm driving, cooking, walking, or working. A little music is simply a must.

What skills or interests do you think someone should have if they want to learn Digital Business Developer?
As already mentioned, I think it's important to be solution-oriented and to bring curiosity and creativity. You should also be interested in computer science, workflows, and processes.

Starting my professional life is a particular highlight for me. I'm excited to meet new people and work with them. I'm also looking forward to taking on responsibility independently and learning many new things.

I also have many ideas in my free time and try to put them into practice. I also have a dog that I train regularly and teach new tricks to. Since I have a fondness for baked goods, I enjoy baking very much. In addition, I program websites in my free time.
